We are so glad we decided to stop over in this town. Kenora is a lovely small city situated on the shore of Lake of the Woods, Ontario. The lake is large and is reported to have 14,000 islands in it- giving it more shoreline than Lake Superior!
We were blessed with a beautiful , crisp, spring day so we rode our bikes from the campground into town along a portion of the TransCanada Trail.
They have a very nicely developed lakeside park including a marina and a bandstand. The town has been decorated by Canadian artists with many large murals depicting the area history.
It was fairly quiet today but this coming long weekend is the opener for the large summer tourist/cabin crowd and it will be a very busy happening place!
You take really interesting pictures, Lou! They give a good sense of the area!
