We enjoyed The Forks - the tract of land between Union Station and the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. Had lunch in the Forks Market then spent the next 3 hours in the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.
Only 3 years old , this museum's contents were as interesting and innovative as its architecture. A must see !!

This morning we had a tour of the Royal Canadian Mint. Learned much about the production of our coins. Fun fact that Canada made the first painted circulated coin in the world! No photos allowed in the Mint.
Moving on to Ontario🚐🚐
GREAT pictures, Lou! I'd love to see the Human Rights museum. You're providing a terrific précis of the country. 👍😘
ReplyDeleteLove the play by play you are doing ma soeur ;) ... giving us a true armchair travelling experience! :)) thanks for all your hard work and time!! greatly appreciated.. I loved those great lake shore hike pix you put up ... beautiful lake and islets etc... what a beautiful country we are a part of... all of us from BC to Ontario! and can't wait to see the east coast.. Wayne's heritage began there in Canada ;)) .. love you! xoxo
ReplyDeletemeant to say too that those K. falls by Kenora are absolutely awesome and yet they are not spoken of by the Ontarions that I know (?!) .. strange as they are truly beautiful and i can see why they have the moniker of the Niagara of the North :)... and loved the great lake/Superior topography and appearance of being sea and not fresh water!! looks similar to where we fish here... the islets are just like the ones we fish around and off of, with the shore lines and stunted trees *due to wind and weather here* and the general feel of seeing it gave me a feeling of 'been there' and yet i know I never have lol... beautiful anyway!! thanks again for taking all that time to blog about your trip with the great shots as well!! .. it really gives us all the armchair travelling experience of being along and seeing it which is huge for me!! .. Big hugs for you!! Stay Well, Travel Safe and Be 'a lert' ;)) !! Also, when you see J&J give them both a big hug from Shelagh XO XO please and thank you .. love you!! XOXOXO
