Ottawa

June 30th- the prelude
We spent the day exploring Ottawa, Parliament Hill, The Museum of History,
Byward Market and even had a chance closeup with the PM. It rained a little but not enough to chase us away.

CANADA DAY
We arrived early at 8 am  so avoided long line ups at security

Borrowed 6 photos as my camera got wet 😮

The hosts

The sun came out in the afternoon
We met this woman who attended the party in 1967 and has the photos on her shirt - wow!

The Snowbirds couldn't perform in the morning because of weather but made 2 passes in the afternoon - never disappoint!

Truly an exciting and very memorable Canadian experience!

  1. What a spectacular way to celebrate Canada Day! No doubt disappointing for the organizers to have had rain after so much planning and preparation but at least it cleared up later. Anyway your very chic rain ponchos were able to be put to good use on the right day!!
